Engineering Oil &Gas; Company is looking for an ENGINE ROOM TECHNICIAN located in Offshore Angola.MissionResponsible for safe watch keeping, control and maintenance of engine room mechanical equipment and propulsionequipment.Maintain routine documentation as required by CompanyWhenever required, act as MS (maintenance supervisor) or BOX (ballast control operator) as defined in IMO resolution A.1079 (28).TasksReport to 2nd Engineer.Be familiar with and maintain awareness of the relevant Company requirements and where applicable, the latest industrycodes and standards including statutory rules and regulationsEnsure all workspace activities are carried out in a consistent manner with Company policies and in accordance to VesselManagement ManualEnsure safe and efficient operations of engine room machinery, during own duty watchEnsure that the Asset Management Operative System (AMOS) is rigorously implemented, in order to survey, test andmaintain all ship machinery/equipment, comprising Emergency and Safety systemsCarry out all analysis task for cooling water, sanitary water, diesel oil and oil for all equipmentParticipate in bunkering/offloading of fuel/oil and the refueling of vesselsAdvise 2nd Engineer for efficient and timely ordering of spares for the equipment under own chargePerform duties within the vessel emergency team as indicated in Emergency Preparedness ManualIntervene and report to 2nd Engineer any unsafe act, unsafe working conditions,
near misses and incidents/accidentsEnsure the Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer is informed immediately of any condition or incident that arises as per standinginstructionEnsure that no major action will be undertaken or executed without informing the Chief Engineer/2nd EngineerReport to the 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer any hazardous situation that goes beyond own interventionMaintain the vessel in accordance with class and statutory legislationCompliance with appropriate and applicable legislative requirementsMonitoring and prevent environmental pollution accordingly to MARPOLEnsure safe and efficient operations and record Engine logbook of engine machinery during own duty watchTake over the watch as per Company proceduresTake care of daily calculation of R.O.B.AuthorityCarry out watch in engine roomAuthorityCarry out watch in engine room.QualificationsSTCW required certificates, National CoC Reg. lll/1 and endorsementCompletion of all training and certifications as described in Training MatrixMOU stability course (where applicable)RequirementsFor Officer in change of Engineering Watch minimum two (2) years of experience of offshore activities.FPSO experience is a mustArcweldingAlltypes of fabrication toolMillingmachine experienceInternational experience in Angola,Africa, Brazil is a plusPositionProjectFPSOLocationOFFSHORE Ivory CoastContract startAs soon as possible (notice period willbe taken into consideration).
