Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics | Retail Industry

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join an Advanced Analytics team within the retail industry.

You will work on high-impact data and AI initiatives across e-commerce, marketing, customer experience, stores, product, supply chain, and procurement. The role combines traditional Data Science with Generative AI, AI Agents, and MLOps, offering the opportunity to contribute to an ambitious digital retail strategy.

Your Responsibilities

Data Science & Machine Learning

- Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support business decision-making.
- Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive ML models.
- Develop solutions leveraging Generative AI and AI Agents.
- Continuously optimize, fine-tune, and improve model performance.

MLOps & Production

- Apply MLOps best practices throughout the machine learning lifecycle.
- Implement model versioning, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
- Monitor model performance and establish retraining and maintenance processes.
- Ensure models are scalable, reliable, and production-ready.

Collaboration & Business Impact

- Work closely with data platform teams, data insights teams, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business challenges into effective data-driven solutions.
- Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Independently lead Data Science projects from concept through delivery.

Innovation & Generative AI

- Stay current with developments in Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI,



and Agentic AI.
- Explore new technologies and approaches to strengthen advanced analytics capabilities.
- Investigate and implement emerging AI-agent technologies.

Your Profile

- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or another relevant scientific/business discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
- Strong experience with advanced statistics, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
- Ability to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly:
- Vertex AI
- BigQuery
- Dataform
- Experience with Agentic AI on GCP, such as ADK or Model Armor, is a strong plus.
- Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, and model lifecycle management.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects end-to-end.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Previous retail or e-commerce experience is a plus.
- Fluent English + professional French or Dutch.
