Key Requirements Summary
OpenStack Architecture & OperationsProven experience (2+ years) designing and running production OpenStack (single/multi-site).
Strong command of core services: Nova, Neutron (OVN), Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Horizon, plus Octavia and desirable Masakari.
Ability to produce HLD/LLD, standards, runbooks, and operational documentation.
Cloud Services EngineeringBuild and operate cloud offerings (KaaS, SaaS, DBaaS) with self-service, quotas, SLAs/SLOs, lifecycle automation, and metering/chargeback.
Automation & CI/CDExpert in Ansible, Terraform, Python, Git workflows, and automated deployments/upgrades with staged rollouts and rollback procedures.
Ability to create reusable modules, pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code standards.
Compute, Networking & StorageDeep knowledge of KVM/QEMU, libvirt,



performance tuning, and live migrations.
Solid understanding of OpenStack networking (L2/L3, security groups, DVR/SNAT, overlays) and Octavia load balancers.
Hands‑on experience with Ceph RBD, pool policies, snapshots, clones, and recovery.
High Availability & ResilienceSkilled with control plane components: RabbitMQ, MariaDB/Galera, HAProxy, Keepalived.
Able to design, test, and execute backup/restore.
Security & IdentityStrong grasp of Keystone projects/roles, SAML/OIDC federation, token/endpoint management.
Observability & Cost Efficiency
Operations ExcellenceLead incident response, on-call participation, RCA/PIR, and ensure improvements.
