Position OverviewOur PHC (personal and home care products) Maintenance BOE Specialist will control the development and implementation of the maintenance strategy across the PHC can facilities. This role is critical in driving equipment reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime, and embedding a culture of proactive maintenance within the PHC manufacturing operations. The Maintenance BOE Controller is a cross‑functional lead with strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a deep understanding of BOE maintenance pillar concepts and methodology.This position can be based out of any EMEA PHC plant. Candidates from the EU will be given salary information prior to the interview.Essential ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the plants, develop and oversee the maintenance pillar master plan and roadmapCoach cross‑functional teams in PM methodology, tools, and standardsEnsure the standardization of best practices across plantsDrive the development and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programsStandardize maintenance routines (checklists, frequency, methods) based on equipment criticalityEnsure the maintenance strategy is data‑driven and aligned with equipment failure modes and historyOptimize availability related to outages, shutdowns, and maintenance daysCollaborate with equipment specialist teams to align activities and ensure smooth handoffs between production and maintenanceSupport the development of proper training for operators and techniciansBe the subject matter expert for maintenance planning and schedulingDevelop planning schedules and assist plants to standardize maintenance planningDevelop a central database of planned maintenance completion and create data metrics to share with leadershipLead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA)



and implement permanent corrective actions for chronic equipment issuesFacilitate FMEA, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM), and other reliability improvement initiativesImplement condition monitoring tools and practices (e.G., vibration analysis, thermography)Align with the central team in the development of AI maintenance toolsCollaborate with the Spare Parts Coordinator on spare parts usage, inventory, and standard approachesEnsure all maintenance procedures, technical documentation, and equipment histories are up to date and accessibleManage CMMS utilization, ensuring accurate entry and analysis of work orders, schedules, and spare parts usageIn conjunction with Technical Training, develop training programs to build maintenance team capabilityFoster a culture of ownership, standardization, and continuous improvement among maintenance and production teamsQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent education in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance SystemsMinimum 3 years experience in Continuous ImprovementDemonstrated skills in:Machinery maintenance, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance strategies, utilizing technical documentation effectivelyLeadership skills to coordinate maintenance teams and achieve goalsAnalytical ability to identify improvement opportunities and solve complex problemsSolid technical knowledge in maintenance engineering and asset managementSolid experience in machining and mechanical materialsWorking knowledge of:Machinery and equipmentTPM, 5 S tools, RCA, FMEA and other continuous improvement methodologiesIT systems within a maintenance or technical environmentBall Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
