Who Are We Looking For

A chemist with experience in modeling surface/adsorbate interactions and photo/beam-induced surface modifications. You thrive in a collaborative fast paced environment working on complex, interconnected, and evolving problems with a strong drive to learn new concepts.

What you’ll do

As the Computational Chemist for Resist Modeling, your main contributions will include to:

- Model the interaction of a resist with metastable atoms capable of quantitative evaluation of our physical models.
- Build a full resist simulation framework for a variety of resist materials, integrating resist activation physics and defect mechanisms into our mask design optimization.
- Work with our Bergen team and external collaborators to optimize resist behaviour and performance.

Who you are

Minimum Qualifications

- PhD in Computational Chemistry/Physics or related field with a strong focus on quantum chemistry,



including adsorbate layers and bond breaking reactions.
- Strong knowledge in fundamentals of chemistry and surface/adsorbate interactions.
- Expertise in density functional theory (DFT), molecular orbital (MO) modeling, and related quantum simulation tools.

Desired qualifications

- Previous experience working with photon/beam-induced surface modification or electron/molecule interactions.
- 1-2 years of industry or post-doc experience.
- Experience working with experimental teams or direct lab experience.
- Strong coding skills in Python or scientific computing frameworks.
- Experience working with resists ideally in lithography R&D;, is a major bonus.
