The Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in supporting scientific research and development activities within the laboratory. She/he will technically support for early non-clinical projects. The Lab Technician works closely with Scientists and other team members to ensure the successful execution of experiments and adherence to protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Laboratory animal handling and colony maintenance.
- Execute laboratory experiments following established protocols and instructions from senior staff.
- Maintain cell line cultures.
- Process tissues from in vivo studies and perform bioanalytical assays on derived materials, including western blot, histopathology, immunohistochemistry.
- Perform data analysis using relevant tools and techniques, contributing insights to support ongoing research.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, ensuring all experiments are properly documented.
- Prepare reports summarizing experimental outcomes and findings, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth execution of experiments, maintaining an understanding of timelines and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences).
- Certification: certification to work with laboratory animals.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in both an animal facility and a laboratory setting, with demonstrated ability to perform experiments and data analysis.
- Language: Native Spanish. Business proficiency in English (verbal and written).
