Junior Project Development Manager (m/f/d)

Role Strategic Purpose

The Junior Project Development Manager will support the technical and development-stage assessment of renewable energy projects in late-stage development, focusing on their maturity, robustness, and transaction readiness from a sell-side perspective. Working closely with internal investment, portfolio management, and M&A; teams, the successful candidate will contribute to the identification of development risks, value drivers, and optimisation opportunities that may impact asset valuation or timing of investment/divestment.

Key Responsibilities

Development Portfolio Review

- Support the assessment of solar PV and BESS projects in advanced development stages (pre-RTB).
- Review permitting status, land agreements, grid connection progress, development schedules and CAPEX assumptions.
- Evaluate project readiness for RTB from a technical and development perspective.
- Identify gaps, risks or inconsistencies that may affect transaction timelines or bankability.

Technical-Commercial Analysis

- Analyse project layouts, grid connection strategies,



and preliminary BESS configurations.
- Review key technical inputs used in financial models (e.g. CAPEX, timelines, development milestones).
- Support the alignment between technical project parameters and commercial assumptions.

Divestment & Investment Support

- Assist in preparing internal materials for investment committees and portfolio reviews.
- Support the technical assessment of development-stage projects to ensure completeness of information ahead of investment/divestment decisions.

External Stakeholder Coordination

- Interface with external developers, engineering advisors, and consultants to obtain or validate development information.
- Support internal teams in tracking regulatory or permitting developments across Iberian markets.

Candidate Profile

- Degree in Electrical, Energy, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- 1–2 years of experience in renewable energy project development or technical project support.
- Exposure to solar PV development; familiarity with BESS projects is highly desirable.
- Understanding of development milestones from early-stage through RTB.
- Ability to analyse development-stage project parameters and understand their impact on financial modelling and investment decisions.
- Strong analytical skills and structured approach to technical and project-related information.
- Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.
