An opportunity for a * Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer *has arisen within * Airbus Defence and Space *, Toulouse (France). The selected candidate will join a brand-new team inside the * Military Derivatives department of Air Power *.
* RESPONSIBILITIES *
* * Analyse and validate * metallic parts in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT;), as well as composite or hybrid structures.
* * Write and check * stress dossiers, justification reports, and test programs.
* * Define justification approaches * and ensure activity progress with Technical Authority support.
* * Support manufacturing * by assessing non-conformities on structural elements.
* * Work closely * with design engineers and communicate with internal/external stakeholders, experts, and civil or military authorities.
* SKILLS *

* * Education: * Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
* * Experience: * At least 3 years of experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT;).
* * Soft skills: * Autonomous approach, strong adaptability, open-minded, synthetic thinker, and good communication skills.
* * Languages: * Advanced level of English and Spanish (both written & spoken). French is a plus.
* * Technical knowledge: * Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods and tools, plus an understanding of digital tools and solutions.
* * Valuable / Nice to have: * Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
