Job DescriptionAn opportunity for a Certification Eng. – Derivatives has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Airbus Derivatives Programmes Certification and Airworthiness team. This multidisciplinary and international team is responsible for defining and implementing complex system certifications for derivative programmes, ensuring compliance with strict global military and civil airworthiness standards. Coordinate with technical organisations and Airworthiness Authorities to verify compliance and present means of compliance documentation. Evaluate design modifications, classify changes to type certificates, and approve flight test clearances under DOA privileges. Manage the individual air‑worthiness documentation for aircraft deliveries, including concessions and operator changes. Lead continued air‑worthiness monitoring, managing occurrence reports and coordinating with authorities on Airworthiness Directives. Approve Service Bulletins from an air‑worthiness perspective and participate actively in Product Safety Committees. QualificationsEducation: Aeronautical Engineering degree or a related discipline. Experience: Professional experience in aviation engineering, aircraft systems, or regulatory compliance is highly valued.
Languages: Advanced level in English. Technical knowledge: Familiarity with air‑worthiness regulations, EASA/military certification processes, and DOA procedures. Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new complex topics, strong communication skills for authority negotiation, and a collaborative networking mindset.
