The Position:

We are collaborating with a multinational FMCG company who is currently involved in one of the greatest transformation project and, at the same time, they are expanding their busines. Therefore, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic BI Business Coordinator, to coordinate and drive reporting requirements across the streams within our Business Enhancement Team (BET).

The BI Business Coordinator acts as a key driver of reporting and BI requirements across all streams (Business Partner, Material, Finance), bridging the business and Group IT. The role coordinates and drives reporting requirements end-to-end and, critically, establishes effective ways of working between Group IT and the project track – an area where a clear operating model has been missing. The role understands the business needs, translates them into clear reporting and BI requirements, liaises closely with the IT team to deliver them, and leads the regular monthly FITCO governance process to review, prioritize and steer reporting demand.

The BI Business Coordinator serves as the primary interface between the business, local subsidiaries and the BI / IT team, closely partnering with local process champions (PCs) and the project workstreams. This need has been raised across the business. Reporting into the Business Application Managers (BAMs), the role provides day-to-day guidance, support and advice, while promoting process excellence, capability building and a positive dialogue and information share between the BET and project teams across markets.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and drive reporting and BI requirements across all streams, acting as the single point of coordination between the business and Group IT.




- Establish and embed effective ways of working between Group IT and the project track for reporting and analytics demand.
- Understand, challenge and consolidate business needs, translating them into clear, prioritized BI and reporting requirements.
- Liaise closely with the BI / IT team and data & analytics architects to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned to the target reporting architecture and data model.
- Manage the reporting demand pipeline and backlog, prioritization and stakeholder expectations across markets and streams.
- Partner with local process champions (PCs) and local subsidiaries to capture, consolidate and prioritize reporting needs.
- Ensure alignment between reporting requirements and the underlying data model / MDM.
- Ensure standardization in template and reporting governance as new local requirements come up, and ensure approval/business case of new developments via the governance track.
- Support testing (regression and new reports), user acceptance and training/documentation for the business.
- Lead the regular monthly FITCO governance process, including preparation, facilitation, decision tracking and follow-up on agreed reporting demand priorities.
- Represent BI and reporting thinking in governance and new-demand processes, working alongside Group IT and local PCs.
- Support the information share between the BET and project teams (e.g. via a BET newsletter) so that developments benefit and impact all waves.
- IT & LICs general controls & compliance support.

Qualifications,



Knowledge and Experience Required

Education: Relevant academic background, e.g. in data/computer science, IT, engineering or business informatics

Languages: Fluent in English, any other language is a plus

Professional/technical experience:

- Min. 8 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience coordinating BI / reporting requirements between business and IT in a large transformation or SAP environment
- Solid business, technical and architectural knowledge across BI and reporting
- Experience acting as a business–IT liaison / demand coordinator, in both an organizational and operating context
- Experience with SAP reporting and analytics (e.g. SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded analytics), complemented by experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA implementations

Business & Technical Skills:

- Solid understanding of BI / reporting architecture and data flows (source systems, data model, MDM through to the reporting layer)
- Requirements engineering and demand / backlog management
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa
- Functional understanding of reporting across SD/MM/FICO
- Process experience is an advantage
- Experience of a template roll-out or similar transformation project is advantageous
- Knowledge of program governance tools and methodologies

Travel requirements:

This role will likely require a 10%-20% commute structure depending on project phases, plus some travel to local subsidiaries.
