To support this ambition, the Customer Services department is looking for an intern who can help identify and develop practical AI and Automation use cases within the business.

Customer Services is at the heart of the customer journey and acts as a key point of contact between Mercedes-Benz and its customers.

The department supports customers with operational questions and collaborates closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure excellent customer experience.

As AI continues to transform the way organizations operate, Customer Services wants to explore how these technologies can help employees work smarter, simplify processes and create additional value for customers.

Your Mission

As our AI & Automation Business Innovation Intern, you will help the Customer Services team explore how Artificial Intelligence can be used in day-to-day operations.

You will:

- Analyze current processes and ways of working:
- Gather business requirements and translate them into AI and automation opportunities
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities




- Support the prioritization and evaluation of AI use cases
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency or customer experience.
- Develop and document AI and Automation use cases
- Support employees in discovering and using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Research emerging AI trends and practical applications.
- Present recommendations and insights into the business.

Examples of projects you could contribute to may include:

- AI-assisted customer support processes
- Knowledge management and intelligent search
- Microsoft Copilot adoption initiatives
- Process automation workflows
- Agentic AI and virtual assistants
- Reporting and analytics optimization

Your Profile

You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in:

- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Science
- Computer Science
- Business Engineering
- Innovation Management
- Digital Transformation
- Or a related field

You are:

- Passionate about AI and innovation.
- Curious and eager to learn.
- Comfortable interacting with different stakeholders.
- Analytical and solution-oriented.
- Interested in the link between technology and business.

Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Platform or Python is considered a plus.





You possess a driver’s license and are willing to travel to the Netherlands, region Utrecht. Estimated max 10-20% of time. A company pool vehicle will be foreseen for these travels.

Internship Conditions

- Academic internship ("Convention de Stage" / "Stageovereenkomst").
- Formal agreement between the student, the educational institution and Mercedes-Benz Belgium Luxembourg.
- Minimum duration of 4 months.
- Suitable for final-year Bachelor's and master’s students.
- Can be linked to a thesis, graduation project or research assignment.
