What you’ll do
Statutory Accounting & Reporting: Manage statutory accounting and external auditing processes for the European business.



Ensure compliance with European statutory requirements and liaise with external auditors such as PWC or EY.
Month-End & Year-End Activities: Lead month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, consolidation system tasks, and budgeting. Balance workload to accommodate peak periods with some overtime as needed.
Financial Controls & Compliance: Maintain and monitor working capital controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with control environments across five companies. Take ownership of bank account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial postings within SAP.
Business Understanding & Collaboration: Work closely with the UK-based manager, you will be located in Madrid taking responsibility for European statutory accounting. This will not include Spain. Understand differences between IFRS and local GAAP, and apply European accounting logic effectively.
