The opportunity
We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join the Engineering team at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) in Geelong.
In this role,
you will support the maintenance and operation of the electrical, instrumentation and critical facility systems that underpin Australia's premier high-containment research facility. You will undertake electrical maintenance, statutory instrumentation calibrations and fault finding across a wide range of critical infrastructure, including utilities, high-voltage systems and containment-critical services.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will help ensure the safe and reliable operation of PC2-PC4 laboratory environments. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning new infrastructure, coordinating contractors, maintaining technical documentation, and participating in annual shutdowns and an on-call roster supporting critical facility systems.
