In this role, you contribute to perception-focused software and product development for autonomous mobile robots within ABB’s robotics organization. You work as a technical contributor on the 3D Perception and Navigation Team, shaping robust perception capabilities for real-world deployments. You will design, implement, validate, and iterate computer vision and 3D perception algorithms with a focus on reliability and maintainability. The role blends hands-on experimentation with strategic technical direction and IP generation, in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

• Lead design, production-grade implementation, and validation of CV and 3D perception algorithms for autonomous robots in dynamic environments
• Design tools and run real-robot experiments to evaluate performance and failure modes for fast, reliable releases
• Contribute to technical direction by formulating hypotheses and turning them into validated, customer/value-driven solutions; contribute to IP generation
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through best practices in software development, experimentation, and documentation
Responsabilidades
• 5+ years of experience in 3D perception or computer vision in industrial/product environments
• Industrial software engineering experience in modern C++, with Python; Rust is a plus
• Experience with perception sensors (stereo cameras, RGB-D, 2D/3D LiDAR)
• ROS, Linux, Git proficiency; strong experimental validation and performance evaluation skills for robotic systems
• Familiarity with deep xqbhyrx learning frameworks, MLOps, robotic navigation planning; embedded Linux (Jetson) and code optimization for compute-limited platforms is a plus
• Ability to solve complex problems autonomously and collaborate across teams
• English proficiency; degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
