With a strong track record of originating, developing, financing, and building nearly 9 GWp of solar and 3GWh of battery storage power plants across six continents, Recurrent Energy has established a leadership position in both solar and battery storage project development. Role

The HSE Specialist is a key member of the Global Energy team, responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence across the business. The role requires a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented professional who demonstrates a strong commitment to operational safety and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will ensure that Recurrent Energy's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, and procedures are effectively implemented and consistently applied across Recurrent Energy entities supported by the team. Working closely with project teams, contractors, and key interested parties, the HSE Specialist will drive compliance with applicable legislation and company standards while fostering a culture where safety is embedded in every aspect of operations.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure the effective implementation, monitoring,



and continuous improvement of the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Business Management System across assigned projects and operations.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, corporate standards, and client requirements.
- Support project teams and contractors in achieving HSE objectives through coaching, guidance, and practical solutions.
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors meet contractual HSE, insurance, licensing, and regulatory obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, investigate, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions, monitoring progress through to closure, and verifying the effectiveness of actions taken. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analysing performance trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to the Company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, reporting, and sustainability objectives.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and reporting to support compliance, governance, and business decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal interested parties, clients, and contractors to ensure consistent application of HSE standards across all supported Recurrent Energy operations.
- Support the Associate Director, General, QHSE in the delivery of strategic HSE initiatives and other business priorities.

Education
- College diploma or university degree from an accredited national and European program.
- Specific training in Environmental,



Health & Safety in accordance with current national or European legislation (TSPRL).

Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of HSE experience in an equivalent role within O&M; or/and construction PV & BESS project, industrial processing, or other civil or environmental remediation experience.
- Specific knowledge / technical expertise on lithium- Ion battery, high voltage electrical equipment including ARC flash, O&M; and/or construction safety preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience of work platforms, documental or management ones.
- Technical & practical HSE knowledge, on various topics such as hoisting & rigging, ground disturbance, fall protection, excavation and trenching, heavy equipment operation, emergency & hazardous material release response, electrical safety, confined space.
- Detailed practical knowledge of local, national and European requirements. HSE legislative requirements, compliance frameworks, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience completing HSE hazard assessments, JHA/JSA, and developing or working with behaviour-based safety programs.
- Working knowledge of root-cause analysis principals and tools such as Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and other safety analytical tools.
- Ability to maintain and grow safety knowledge including industry best practices and pending changes in legislation.
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 45001 & 14001 preferred.
- Safety knowledge in Working at Heights, Fall Protection, Fire Protection Electrical Safety and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
- Knowledge and practical experience in accident investigation.
- Ability to be covered by company auto insurance plan (e.g., Good Driving Record – No DUIs or suspensions within the last 5 years and no more than two traffic violations (with less than 3 points in a violation) in the last three years. xqbhyrx
