At Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, we are looking to recruit an intern for the Engineering Department, someone eager to learn, grow professionally, and be part of an international and dynamic environment.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the technical and administrative operations of a luxury hotel, supporting the Engineering team in the daily management of the department.
Position Details
Position: Engineering Department Intern
Location: Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona
Duration: 6 months
Working hours: Full-time
Modality: On-site
Main Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the Engineering team in administrative and coordination tasks, participating in the day-to-day activities of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the administrative management of the Engineering department
- Organizing, updating, and filing technical documentation
- Assisting in the planning and monitoring of maintenance tasks
- Supporting coordination with other hotel departments to facilitate daily operations
- Preparing reports,



lists, and follow-up documentation
- Assisting with supplier management, orders, or related documentation when required
- Collaborating with the team to improve internal processes

Candidate Profile
We are looking for an organized, responsible individual with a positive attitude who is eager to learn in a high-level professional environment.
Recommended requirements:
- Student of Business Administration or related studies, Engineering, Architecture, or Maintenance
- Internship agreement with a university, school, or training center
- Good command of office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
- Good teamwork skills
- Interest in engineering/maintenance/organization/administration within the hotel sector and in hotel operations
