EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities.

Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge.

Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

The Grant Financial Officer is part of the Finance Team and will report directly to the Head of Finance. The role is responsible for grant assurance and financial compliance throughout the grant lifecycle, supporting sub-grantees and internal stakeholders to ensure the sound financial management of grants and compliance with Horizon Europe, EIT Urban Mobility,



and other applicable funding requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Support partners in understanding and interpretation the rules of Horizon Europe.
- Contribute to EIT Urban Mobility´s audit processes (EIT Certificate on the Financial Statements, internal checks, statutory audits).
- Ensure the correct allocation of costs for each transaction in coordination with the Accounting and Controlling functions.
- Support internal teams and sub-grantees during amendments to Financial Support Agreements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of NetSuite in collaboration with the IT team.
- Participate in the preparation of the budget implementation, financing decisions, and the annual Business Plan, as well as in the planning, preparation, monitoring, and reporting of the budget. Provide support for budget management in compliance with applicable financial regulations.
