Job Description:
An opportunity for a Stress Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Stress Department (Military Derivatives / Air Power).
We are building a brand-new team inside an ambitious and challenging new upcoming military Program that will help reinforce European sovereignty. The team is dedicated to structural stress analysis and works in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment in close contact with internal engineering groups, experts, authorities, and external sub-contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Analyse and validate metallic, composite, or hybrid structures from a stress point of view.
- Write and check stress dossiers, reports, technical justifications, test programs, and test reports.
- Define justification approaches and ensure activity progress with support from Technical Authorities and Senior Engineers.
- Support manufacturing processes by assessing structural non-conformities.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, experts,
civil/military authorities, internal Airbus engineering teams, and subcontractors.

- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Stress Analysis.
- Soft skills: Good communication skills, autonomous approach, high adaptability, open-mindedness, synthetic thinking, and openness to digital technologies.
- Languages: Advanced level in English & French (both spoken & written).
- Technical knowledge: Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods and tools, analysis of metallic/composite/hybrid structures, and writing/checking stress dossiers and test programs.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Spanish language skills will be valued. Eligibility for security clearance by recognized authorities is required.
