Business Support Officer

Velto Renewables (Velto), a subsidiary of La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Business Support Officer to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the People team.

Velto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse’s 25% investment in the London Array, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms.

Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.

Main responsibilities:

Office Operations & Administration

- Oversee daily office operations and administrative processes.
- Support office maintenance and workplace services.
- Support office facilities, supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.





Employee Experience & Workplace Culture

- Help to create a positive and engaging workplace environment.
- Hospitality tasks for employees and business affiliates;
- Support internal events, meetings, and employee-focused programs

Executive & Business Support

- Support to coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, agendas, phone calls traffic, etc.
- Support the Office Manager with administrative and organizational needs of the Leadership Team.
- Support HR activities including but not limited to: overall HR management, training programs, etc.

Requirements:

Education and experience

- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish;
- 2+ years of qualified experience working with international counterparties and stakeholders;
- Excellent command of MS office applications;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Effective communication skills;
- Proactivity and methodical working approach.
