Role Description As a City Host & Freelance Tour Guide in Bilbao, you will welcome travelers and guide them through the city, sharing local insights, personal stories, and favorite spots beyond typical tourist routes. You will design and lead customized walking tours based on travelers’ interests, including culture, history, food, neighborhoods, and everyday life in Bilbao. Day-to-day, you will communicate with travelers before the tour, coordinate meeting points and timing, and provide a friendly, safe, and engaging on-site experience.

This is a contract role, allowing you to accept assignments that fit your schedule, and it is fully on-site within Bilbao.



You will represent Lokafy’s mission by helping visitors connect with the city and its people in a genuine and respectful way.

Qualifications

Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact confidently with travelers and provide an engaging, welcoming experience.

Experience in Sales or similar roles where you have promoted services, interacted with clients, or encouraged participation in activities.

Background or familiarity with Food & Beverage, hospitality, or local culinary culture to recommend eateries and share authentic dining experiences.

Training or coaching experience, or the ability to clearly explain information, guide groups, and adapt to diverse audiences.

Excellent knowledge of Bilbao, including neighborhoods, culture, history, and local customs.

Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are an asset.

Comfort leading small groups on foot, with strong time management and organizational skills.

Reliable access to a mobile device and internet for coordinating tours and communicating with travelers.

Prior guiding, hospitality, or tourism experience is beneficial but not mandatory; passion for meeting new people is essential.
