Join DayOne – Shaping the Future of Data Infrastructure

DayOne is a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, we’ve built a robust presence across Asia and Europe — and we’re just getting started.

As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure.

If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.

About DayOne

DayOne is a integral leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers, operating across eight markets in Asia and Europe. Backed by US$4.5B in Series C funding, we are one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, and Spain is central to our next chapter.

We build at hyperscale speed. That means real complexity, real timelines, and real accountability, alongside the resources and backing to deliver.

The Role

Data center delivery lives and dies on the schedule. As our Planning Manager for Data Center Projects in Madrid, you own Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and schedule integrity across DayOne's active developments and future pipeline in Spain, from early-stage development through construction, commissioning, and operational readiness. You will set the planning standard our PMCs and contractors work to, surface risks before they become delays, and give project leadership the schedule intelligence to make fast, informed decisions.

This is a role for a planner from mission-critical or MEP-intensive construction who wants direct ownership on the client side of one of Europe's fastest-growing data center programs.

What You'll Do

Schedule Development

- Develop and maintain Level 1 to 3 project schedules across all project development stages
- Align delivery strategies with Procurement, Design and Engineering, Construction, Testing and Commissioning, and Operations teams
- Guide Project Management Consultants in building and maintaining Level 3 coordinated schedules with key milestones across Design, Procurement, and other project functions

Schedule Assurance and Standards

- Conduct schedule quality assessments on Level 4 and Level 5 detailed contractor schedules
- Ensure PMCs and contractors comply with DayOne's scheduling standards, policies, and project controls requirements
- Maintain accurate project schedules, records, and reporting within Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC)

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

- Monitor, control, and report on schedule performance, keeping delivery milestones on track
- Consolidate project progress and prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and executive presentations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and project controls across the organization

Risk and Recovery

- Identify schedule risks and potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies with project teams
- Advise stakeholders on major schedule variances, particularly those impacting critical path activities and key milestones
- Review, track, and assess recovery and acceleration plans for projects experiencing schedule slippage

What the Role Requires

Technical Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline,

with 5 to 8 years in CPM-based project planning and scheduling on MEP-intensive or mission-critical construction programs (data centers, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, energy, or comparable complexity)
- Proven hands-on expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling using Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), including developing Level 1 to 3 schedules and assessing Level 4 and 5 contractor schedules
- Working knowledge of testing and commissioning sequencing and its integration into master schedules, with fluent written and spoken English

Soft Skills

- You explain critical path impacts and schedule risk to senior stakeholders in language that drives decisions
- You hold PMCs and contractors to scheduling standards without escalation becoming your default tool
- You stay accurate and structured when priorities shift weekly across a live international project pipeline

Nice to Have

- Direct data center delivery experience, particularly through testing, commissioning, and operational readiness phases
- Experience directing or reviewing PMC planning teams
- Spanish language proficiency
