The Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Development HIC EAME, the Director of Development will lead business development efforts to expand Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s portfolio of managed and commercialized all-inclusive hotels and resorts across the EAME region. The role will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, negotiating, and executing long-term hotel management and franchise agreements, while developing a strong regional network to support Hyatt’s strategic expansion plan.

- Lead Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s expansion strategy across EAME to grow its portfolio of managed and commercialized hotels and resorts.
- Source, negotiate, and execute long-term hotel management agreements and hotel commercialization agreements.
- Lead all aspects of the business development process, from the identification and assessment of opportunities through negotiation and execution.
- Identify and assess hotel owners, investors, and developers as potential clients and business partners.
- Assess the financial and managerial capabilities and limitations of prospective owners and partners.
- Develop and maintain relationships with capital sources, institutional investors, joint venture partners, legal counsel, consultants, brokers, developers, lenders, and other hotel industry participants.
- Review and analyze potential hotel conversion and new-build opportunities for integration into Hyatt Inclusive Collection.
- Proactively identify target markets, build local networks, increase Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s visibility,



and source leads for new projects.
- Attend major hotel industry conferences and events and participate in public forums to communicate Hyatt Inclusive Collection’s unique selling propositions as a third-party hotel manager and franchisor.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt’s core values.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least five years of experience as a transaction-oriented hotel management and/or hotel real estate professional.
- At least three years of relevant experience in hotel management or operations, hotel feasibility and market studies, hotel asset management, hospitality real estate, or a related hospitality management environment.
- Ability to understand and reconcile perspectives related to hotel ownership, hotel management, and brand positioning.
- International working experience in hotel real estate development, investment, and management.
- Proven track record of sourcing leads in the EAME region, supported by an established network of working relationships and key contacts within the regional hospitality industry.
- Hands-on, deal-closing mentality and demonstrated ability to negotiate hotel management agreements.
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements and accounting, with the ability to understand complex pro forma models.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, critical-thinking, and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to make confident business decisions under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, monitor complex processes, prioritize objectives, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
- Self-motivated and able to meet goals, complete tasks, and follow through on objectives without strict oversight.
- Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AI-enabled productivity tools, with the ability to analyze data, develop executive presentations, and support strategic growth initiatives.
- MBA or CFA is a plus.
