Responsibilities

- Develop and Execute Category Strategy: Define and implement seasonal and long‑term buying strategies for the category, aligning commercial objectives with customer needs, market trends, and business growth targets.
- Build High‑Performing Assortments: Create compelling assortment strategies that balance consumer demand, emerging trends, brand positioning, and financial performance to maximize sales and profitability.
- Drive Cross‑Functional Category Leadership: Act as the central connector across Design, Buying, Technical Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on category objectives and priorities.
- Lead Supplier and Vendor Management: Manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate favorable costs, margins, quality standards, and delivery terms to drive business value and operational excellence.
- Drive Commercial Performance: Monitor sales, inventory, and market trends to make data‑driven buying decisions, optimize stock levels, improve product lifecycle management, and maximize category performance.
- Team Leadership:
Lead a team of Buyers, Designers, and Technical engineers through guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative team culture. Report directly to Brand Director of Menswear.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
Strengths: Strategic, business‑minded and passionate about fashion; understanding consumer needs, spotting opportunities, making data‑driven decisions, and balancing brand vision with operational realities and financial objectives.
Profile: 10–15 years of experience in buying, category management, or commercial leadership, with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth within the Heavy Woven category; strong commercial acumen in category strategy, assortment planning, product development and trend forecasting; analytical leader who excels at developing multidisciplinary teams and managing supplier relationships through negotiations and financial metric analysis; fluent in Spanish and English (German a plus); proficient in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) and experienced with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
