Location : Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home).

As Senior Manager, General Internal Communications (GIC), you will play a key role in delivering and enabling strategic internal communications, employee engagement activities that help employees understand, connect with and believe in AstraZeneca's strategy, priorities and culture.

Working as part of the GIC team, you will support the planning and execution of high-profile employee and leader engagement activities, enterprise-wide communications campaigns and key operations & governance processes that underpin effective communications across AstraZeneca. You will partner closely with global communicators, Executive Assistants, Communications Business Partners and the Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) Strategy & Operations team to drive alignment, planning excellence and flawless execution of priority activities.

Alongside supporting flagship global communications programmes, approximately 30% of your time will be dedicated to enabling GCA effectiveness through communications planning and execution, operational coordination and leadership engagement.

This role requires strong project management, stakeholder management, event delivery and communications skills, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment. You will be expected to lead defined workstreams independently, contribute to continuous improvement and bring creativity, judgement and accountability to the delivery of best-in-class employee experiences and communications outcomes.

Key responsibilities Global Internal Communications

- Project manage and support the development and delivery of high-impact global communications events and engagement moments, such as Senior Leader Meetings, extended Senior Leader calls, Senior Executive Team (SET), Board & CEO events, and flagship programmes including AZ Talks,



‘30 Minutes with’, and the CEO Awards. This includes planning, logistics, stakeholder coordination and technical delivery.
- Lead GIC delivery of quarterly financial results communications, including coordinating planning meetings, maintaining integrated delivery plans and trackers, managing translations, and partnering closely with Global Media Relations, Investor Relations and the Company Secretary teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Support the planning and delivery of enterprise-wide communications campaigns and engagement initiatives that build understanding of AstraZeneca's strategy, priorities, culture and performance.
- Develop and maintain communication materials, toolkits, assets and supporting resources, ensuring consistency of message, quality and alignment with AstraZeneca's brand and communications standards.
- Support GIC reporting and measurement activities by gathering and analysing data from campaigns, events and digital channels, including attendance, engagement, feedback and performance metrics, and providing recommendations to strengthen future activity.

Communications Operations and Infrastructure

- Support GIC planning, governance and communications infrastructure, ensuring processes, guidance and resources remain current, effective and easily accessible through the GCA Knowledge Hub.
- Maintain and continuously improve key communications systems, processes & channels (eg digital screens), distribution lists, leadership engagement databases, communicator networks, GCA calendar/s and collaboration spaces that enable effective communication across the organisation.
- Support the management of GIC operational processes, including planning cycles, event governance, stakeholder management and ways of working that improve effectiveness and consistency.
