Student Centred Teacher, Primary Years (6-12 years)

Learnlife, a network of international schools, is seeking a dynamic Primary Years Teacher to lead and revolutionize learning experiences for 6 to 12 year-olds in our Eco Hub (Castelldefels).

We’ve built 3 Hubs that host 300 school-aged learners in the greater Barcelona area.

As a Learning Guide, you will lead our Discoverers program (8-10 year olds) at our primary years location in Castelldefels, fostering a love for learning and equipping learners with essential skills for success. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping a positive learning culture in this location.

Start date: Full-time from August 18th, 2026.

Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, in person in Castelldefels.

Your responsibilities

Lead Program Design

- Lead a dynamic learning program for 8 to 10 year-olds, serving as their mentor and go-to person.
- Design and facilitate learning experiences for English literacy and numeracy.
- Design and facilitate learning experiences for our Natural Sciences block, for all 3 programs: Adventurers (6-8 year olds), Discoverers (8-10 year olds) and Pioneers (10-12 year olds).
- Develop learner-driven, inquiry-based, and project-based approaches that encourage autonomy, curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to continuously refine and innovate a learner-centered curriculum that aligns with the Eco Hub’s values.

Group Facilitation & Learning Community Management
- Guide multi-age groups (6-11 year-olds), fostering a collaborative, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
- Adapt facilitation strategies to balance structure and flexibility, meeting the needs of diverse learners.




- Support conflict resolution and social-emotional learning, empowering learners to navigate challenges and build strong relationships.
- Cultivate a sense of belonging and shared responsibility within the learning community.

Collaborative Teamwork
- Work within a cross-functional, agile team to co-create and refine engaging learning experiences.
- Participate in training sessions, reflective practices, and coaching to support continuous professional growth.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Eco Hub’s educational approach by sharing insights and actively engaging in team discussions.

Parent Communication
- Serve as a key point of contact for families, fostering open, transparent, and supportive communication.
- Provide regular updates on learner progress, program developments, and collaborative learning goals.
- Partner with families to support each learner’s individual journey, ensuring a holistic approach to growth and development.

Learning Space Development
- Design and cultivate engaging, adaptable, and responsive learning environments tailored to the needs of primary years learners.
- Ensure that learning spaces support exploration, collaboration, and hands-on experiences, both indoors and outdoors.
- Integrate nature, sustainability, and real-world connections into the learning environment.

Your experience

Educational Expertise

- Minimum 3 years of experience working with 6 to 12 year-olds in international or local schools (PYP), Montessori, or project-based learning (PBL) environments.
- Experience in multiage instructional design, particularly around literacy and math.
- Experience with multidisciplinary learning experience design.




- Proven ability to design engaging learning experiences and effectively manage groups of learners.

Teaching Certification
- An officially recognized teaching license from Spain or another country for primary education.

Instructional Design & Group Management
- Proven ability to plan, design, facilitate, and evaluate engaging learning experiences, embedding a range of methodologies.
- Effectively manage groups of learners, with diverse needs.

Language Proficiency
- C2-level English proficiency is required.
- Preference for candidates also proficient in Spanish or Catalan (C2 level).

Positive Relationships
- You act as a coach, mentor, passion-pusher, facilitator, and curator, meeting learners where they are.
- You have a demonstrated ability to connect with learners and build trusting relationships.

- A self-starter who is highly organized, resourceful, resilient, self-aware, and adaptable.
- An innovative mindset, drawing from a wide range of learning methodologies to creatively meet the needs of diverse learners.
- A creative individual who brings their own passions into learning experiences.
