Monday to Friday, 08:*:00Support for the centre's operational and strategic management: collaboration with CICA's management on coordination and supervision tasks, particularly in relation to scientific strategy, planning and the management of R&D;&I; activities, within the framework of competitive calls for proposals for research centres, such as the SUG Research Centres programme, the María de Maeztu accreditations and other similar initiatives promoting scientific excellence.

the setting of priorities and the evaluation of the actions carried out.

1 November 2026 31/12/2026 2 months.The "CICA – Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry and Biology" at the UDC was accredited in **** as a Research Centre within the Galician University System (SUG), joining the Xunta de Galicia's CIGUS Network as a centre of research excellence.

CICA currently has 30 affiliated research groups and focuses on three strategic thematic areas: Biomedicine (BMed); Food, Pollution and Health (ACe S); and Nanoscience and Advanced Materials (Ne MA).

The centre's accreditation and membership of the CIGUS Network in Galicia will require specific support and monitoring tasks, as well as a strategic vision for the future, in which CICA will seek to maintain its scientific excellence and distinctiveness within the Galician research landscape.

One of the key priorities for CICA in this new phase will be to strengthen the centre's R&D; management and support structure, making it more specialised, in line with the management models of other leading research centres in the region.

Specifically, CICA needs to recruit a person responsible for the institutional management of R&D;&I;: projects, quality and scientific promotion, who will be part of the centre's Management Office, with training and experience in CICA's thematic R&D;&I; areas, experience in research centres accredited by the Xunta de Galicia, and experience in the operational and strategic management of R&D.;

The appointed specialist will assist in the organisation, preparation and management of activities relating to these areas, as well as supporting technology transfer, and will also provide direct support to CICA's management on various matters within their remit.Ph D in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Marine Sciences or Agricultural Engineering.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaFunding for the contract may be provided, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant associated with the Research Line, even prior to the end of the initial months, provided that adequate and sufficient funding is available.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of Instruction ***, of 17 March *, issued by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer, regulating the registration of research and strategic lines and the recruitment of research staff employed under such lines, the validity of this permanent contract is subject to the continued need for the tasks and the existence of adequate and sufficient funding within the research line.

The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the post without the possibility of redeployment, shall constitute objective grounds for termination of the contract (Article 52(e) of the Workers' Statute).





The requirements must have been met by the deadline for submitting applications On the closing date for applications and throughout the duration of the contract, applicants must meet and continue to meet the requirements set out in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff, Chapter 6, relating to research and knowledge transfer projects, grants and agreements.

In order for merits to be scored, it is essential to provide supporting rits that are merely claimed but not substantiated will not be assessed by the Selection Committee.General merits: All qualifications and certificates must be submitted in a legible PDF format.Professional experience: An up-to-date employment history report is mandatory, accompanied by employment contracts (or registration with the RETA for the self-employed), as well as a report detailing the tasks carried out.Research projects: Only certificates issued by the relevant official body (e.G. the Vice-Rectorate for Research or persons with legal authority) will be accepted.Languages: Language proficiency must be demonstrated by means of an official certificate (e.G. CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) or an equivalent recognised by the Selection Committee.Note on Exclusion: Certificates or letters issued in a personal capacity by lecturers or Principal Investigators (PIs) of the projects are not valid.The post may remain unfilled if no candidate achieves a score of more than 60 points (the score obtained in the interview does not count towards inclusion on the waiting list).

A waiting list will be drawn up comprising applicants not shortlisted by the Selection Committee; this list may be used in the event of the selected candidate's resignation or the termination of their employment contract.
