The Role

You'll play a key role in the design, development and evolution of enterprise semantic models and knowledge graph solutions, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to create scalable, reusable semantic architectures.

You'll help establish best practices around ontology design, semantic interoperability, data quality and governance while contributing to the wider engineering community.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop semantic models, ontologies and enterprise knowledge graphs.
- Build and maintain semantic data models using W3C Semantic Web standards.
- Develop and optimise SPARQL queries to support data integration, analytics and business applications.
- Design validation rules using SHACL to ensure semantic consistency and data quality.




- Develop and maintain OWL ontologies supporting enterprise reasoning and inference.
- Build and manage SKOS vocabularies and taxonomy structures.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and domain experts to model complex business concepts.
- Contribute to semantic governance, modelling standards and best practices across engineering teams.
- Support the integration of semantic technologies into AI, machine learning and modern data platforms.

Essential Skills & Experience We're looking for someone with strong commercial experience across semantic technologies, including:
- RDF and RDFS
- W3C Semantic Web standards
- OWL
- SHACL
- SKOS
- SPARQL
- Enterprise ontology design
- Knowledge Graph development
- Semantic modelling and linked data principles

Nice to Have
- Python development
- Experience integrating semantic technologies with AI or Machine Learning
- Knowledge Graph platforms such as GraphDB, Stardog or Neo4j
- Semantic data integration and ETL pipelines
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
