Responsibilities - Own AI-related technical decisions across the company and products, - Design and build agent frameworks for complex, multi-step workflows, - Go beyond RAG: tool use, structured outputs, multi-agent/multi-chain systems,



- Build eval and feedback loops (testing, scoring, iteration), - Ship reliable, production-grade AI systems (accounting for latency, cost, and failure modes), - Turn messy clinical processes into deterministic, auditable systems, - Stay current with and experiment with SOTA technologies in the field.

Competencies - 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including 1-2+ years building LLM-based systems in production, - Strong Python backend engineer (FastAPI, infrastructure, data structures), - Real, hands-on experience with LLMs in complex, agent-based workflows, not just API calls to a foundation model, - Comfortable guiding decisions on LLM/SLM fine-tuning strategy, - Track record shipping multi-step/agentic systems to production, not just prototypes, - Experience with evals, observability, and system reliability practices, - Solid ML/NLP fundamentals, - Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment strongly preferred, - Fully fluent in English (mandatory).
