Senior Program Manager. Location : Madrid, Spain

Mission Mission The Senior Program Manager, a member of the PMO Office, will be working as part of a worldwide team within the Global Operations and Services organisation. He/she is responsible for overseeing complex progams for European customers. He/She will be responsible for program/project execution and manage various customer accounts including day-to-day operations.

This role will require full flexibility in meeting Nagra business needs, acting as single-point-of-contact and engaging with all aspects of complex solution delivery including pre-sales, contractual documents, system architecture, R&D;, supply chain, system engineering, system acceptance and in-life support. The role is customer facing and located in Madrid, Spain with approx. 20% travel needs within Spain and Europe.

Responsibilities Responsiblities

- Support Sales Account Managers during the pre-sales phase by helping to provide answers for RFP, RFI, RFQs and subsequent phases of a program in relation but not limited to; contributions to the development of key deliverables (e.g. high level requirements documents, letters of engagement, statements of work with T0 plan, effort estimates etc) and in building account strategy and tactics.
- Assume full end-to-end responsiblity for the execution of a program during the post sales phase with no direct reports (i.e.leads program teams without direct line-manager authority) and ensures that there is efficient allocation of (shared) resources and skills within programs, plan/hold kick-off meeting, keep team motivated.
- Creates and maintaines program plans and monitors overall progress by controlling and resolving issues and risks by initiating corrective action as appropriate to successful outcomes.
- Ensure that the delivery of products or services from the projects within a program are to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan.
- Manage program budgets on behalf of Nagra, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the program progresses.




- Manage changes according to the defined processes; Initiate extra activities wherever gaps in the program are identified.
- Interface with the customers, third party vendors and internal units on program issues (e.g. system specifications, timely delivery, third party dependencies etc). Timely and effectively escalate issues to the correct internal/partner departments if needed, and ensure that resources are then obtained and applied to the customer/ program so that the customer issues are resolved on-time and to the mutual satisfaction of both the customer and Nagra needs/ policies.
- Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of programs - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of programs; and outwardly on coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programs, third parties and the customer technical and specialist standards.
- Plan and manage day-to-day system & support requests and follow-up on hotline tickets, root-cause-analysis, health checks, memos, etc. and any other activities related to ensure keeping the contractual support and maintenance related obligations and provide regular reports to customers.
- Report progress of programs at regular intervals to the Director PMO EMEA/Americas, Steering board meetings and to the customer by providing accurate and timely reporting.
- Acts as an advisor to Director PMO EMEA/Americas and as a mentor/advisor for other Program Managers with regards to any aspect of program management or other areas of improvements. Proactively contribute to PM excellence within the company.

Requirements / Profile The Candiate: Profile & Experiences & Skills The adecuado candidate will have a solid Project / Program management background within the broadcast technology industry with experience of managing complex end-to-end customer programs. Experience will include some (or all) of conditional access, service delivery platforms, middleware/UI, STBs, Open Devices & Applications, OTT, MDRM, Anti-Piracy Security Services; ideally having managed these aspects in a systems integration context.



The candiate will be a team player and good communicator. He/she will preferably be qualified to degree level (in an engineering, computer science or related field), but relevant experience or other qualifications will also be considered. The candidate must be fluent in English & Spanish both oral and written and work well under pressure. They would ideally also have most of the following:

- Proven record of managing transversal customer oriented program teams in a multi-cultural business environment within the DTV technology business with a minimum of 6 to 8 years relevant experience and > 1 M$ budget.
- Evidence of working in international matrix operations and excellent leadership management skills including multiple work stream management and program delivery.
- Processes, Methodology & Tools – Thorough understanding of program management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile) e.g. PRINCE2, PMI & SCRUM. Especially implementation at customer sites (pre-sales, scoping, post-sales implementation). Experience with program planning tools. Demonstrated ability to adapt/ enhance and implement improvements to PGM methodology and tools at a regional or company level.
- Proactive and Strategic Thinking: Understand and operate consciously of the wider objectives of the program and Nagra’s business objectives. Understand current & future needs of customers, act quickly to resolve issues.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with key people/ opinion leaders at customers and establish strong and lasting relationships.
- Risk Assessment – Ability to assess complex technological, commercial and contractual risks of a program from both the company and customer perspectives.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels with all internal and external program stakeholders and the ability to produce concise reports in plain language.
- Solve problems or pre-empt problems by employing appropriate measures and processes
- Ability to follow through an issue resolution, stand up to team members and challenge them on schedule delays and identify workaournd/ solution.
- Stress Management ability
- Good mentoring & coaching skills

Qualifications:
- University degree in technology/ computer science/ business management
- Ideally, an additional business qualification and/or a certification in program or project management

Languages:
- Fluent in Spanish & English both oral and written; knowledge of other languages are an asset

Travel:
- 20% travel within the Spain/Europe
