Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Sr.

Artificial Intelligence

Engineer, located in the Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area. The Sr. AI Engineer will design, develop, and implement AI models and solutions, conduct data analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into business operations. The professional will also be responsible for optimizing AI models, ensuring their scalability, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in AI technologies.

- Design and develop scalable AI/ML system architectures from training pipelines to production inference infrastructure.
- Design and build scalable GenAI pipelines using modern orchestration frameworks and cloud services.
- Implement and optimize machine learning models including deep neural networks, transformers, and multimodal systems for specific use cases.
- Design and develop autonomous AI agents by implementing multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, tool systems, reasoning frameworks, and agent architectures that integrate LLMs with external tools.




- Lead AI model productionization by implementing automated deployment systems, continuous monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
- Optimize model performance for production by applying quantization, pruning, distillation techniques, and hardware optimization (GPU/TPU).
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers by establishing best practices, reviewing code, and ensuring technical quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Communicate technical progress and limitations to non-technical stakeholders, participate in roadmap planning, and provide realistic estimates.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of professional experience in software development
- 2+ years of professional experience in AI solution development.
- Strong Python skills and solid software engineering practices, including testing, version control, clean code, and API development.
- Hands-on experience building and productionizing AI solutions, including RAG systems, AI agents, tool-calling workflows, ML models, and LLM-based applications.
- Proficiency in AI model design, development, and implementation
- Experience in data analysis and data-driven decision making
- Practical experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, document ingestion, retrieval, reranking, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
- Experience deploying scalable AI solutions in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, security, and MLOps/LLMOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, mentor other engineers, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
