Job Title: Technical Service Engineer - Specialty Polymers EMEA
Location: Europe (with extensive travel across European region, approx. 50%)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Technical Service Engineer to support customers across Europe with hands-on technical expertise in specialty polymers. This role bridges our material solutions with customer applications, working closely with sales, customers, and internal R&D; to drive technical support, application development, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to customers in processing applications such as extrusion, injection molding, and related technologies
- Support material trials, validation, and industrialization at customer sites
- Troubleshoot processing and application issues with practical, solution-oriented approaches
- Collaborate with commercial teams to drive new business development and application growth
- Deliver technical training, seminars, and product presentations to customers and distribution partners
- Act as a technical interface between customers and internal teams (R&D;, production, quality)
- Collect market and application feedback to support product development and positioning
- Prepare clear technical documentation, including reports, guidelines, and test summaries.
Qualifications & Requirements: For Entry-Level Candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement) in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Good communication skills and willingness to travel within EMEA
For Experienced Candidates:
- Hands-on experience in polymer processing (Extrusion preferred)
- Experience with specialty polymers (e.g., high-performance or engineering plastics) is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to troubleshoot processing issues and support customers technically
- Business development experience is an advantage
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of polymer chemistry, material structure-property relationships, and various polymer processing technologies (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, etc).
- Familiarity with material testing methods and characterization techniques.
- Understanding of relevant industry regulations and certification processes (e.g., REACH, RoHS, FDA, ISO standards) is advantageous.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team (sales, R&D;, quality).
- Results-oriented with a "can-do" attitude and strong project management skills.
Language & Other Requirements:
- Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken). Proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish) is a significant advantage.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the European region, approximately 50% of the time.
