Experteer Overview As a Senior SQL Server DBA at Talan, you ensure the stability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise database platforms. You will act as a technical reference for database operations and collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, and engineering teams. You’ll lead data lifecycle management, backup/recovery, and security, while contributing to data architectures and governance. This role combines ongoing improvements with project work to evolve a critical SQL Server estate and support a transformation mindset.Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments across the enterprise estate
- Define and promote database standards, governance, and best practices
- Contribute to data architectures, data integration, schema development, and performance considerations
- Install, configure, patch, and manage SQL Server and related products
- Own and improve backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Implement and maintain database security controls in line with regulatory requirements
- Drive performance tuning, query optimization, archiving, and data lifecycle management
- Act as SME on SQL scalability and advanced data storage topics for enhancement initiatives
- Define non-functional requirements for new services during design phase




- Participate in technical design discussions and represent operational considerations
- Support low-level solution design for new products and technology implementations
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to development and wider IT teams
- Improve legacy database environments through analysis and modernization
- Share knowledge with the broader team via documentation and technical overviewsResponsabilidades

- Experience with high-availability, resilience, and scalability across database platforms

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience in complex, business-critical infrastructures with strong operational requirements
