Responsabilidades
The Business Developer is responsible for managing the broker network within the assigned zone in complete coordination with the Market Facing Teams and achieving the zone plan.
• Position Berkley in their regional market as a specialties insurer. • Identify business opportunities through ongoing relationships with brokers and customers. • Design, implement & monitor a commercial plan to implement systematically the actions identified above for a group of selected brokers, ensuring the total coordination with the rest of Berkley’s market facing teams. • Propose or establish partnerships and find new markets or opportunities to generate profitable new business. • Reach and coordinate agreements with main brokers associations. • Support UW Market Facing teams in any activity that may request Sales interventions. • Engage in innovation initiatives, product launches,



marketing campaigns and short-term projects as appropriate to contribute positively towards success of the overall team and company. • Stay current with all compliance, procedural, and workflow changes; ensure all activities comply with applicable laws and regulations. • Reports to the Sales Manager. • Together with the rest of Sales Developers, comply with the Business Plan of the Branch. • Achieve the financial plan of his/her Zone (NB, Portfolio Renewals, Brokers’ individual financial goals, Marketing Plan, etc.).
Titulaciones
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance market in similar positions. • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize. • Computer literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. • Willing to travel within his/her zone; driver’s license requested. • Desire to work towards relevant professional qualification. • Proactivity & team working. • Ability to manage
