Job Description:
A temporary opportunity for a Structural Test Laboratory Engineer has arisen within Airbus in Getafe (Madrid).
The Structural Integrity & Test organization (TADAT) is seeking a highly motivated Structural Test Laboratory Engineer to join the Structural Test Laboratory & Systems Area (TADAT2). This role is a fixed-term position to cover an internal paternity leave (19CW duration).
In this pivotal role, you will ensure the success of the Production Planning, Assembly, and Engineering Support domain (one of the fundamental pillars of our organization). You will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex structural analysis and physical validation, ensuring that our testing capabilities meet the highest standards of aeronautical excellence.
You will report directly to the Head of Structural Test Laboratory & Systems (TADAT2)
REPONSABILITIES

Laboratory & Test Management
Workload & Resource Management: Oversee shopfloor workload, manage laboratory resources, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
Operational Oversight:



Manage a multidisciplinary working environment involving office-based engineers, workshop teams (mechanical and electrical), and external stakeholders.
Project Planning: Prepare internal project proposals, including detailed estimations of time, cost, and resource expenditure.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to planning targets and implement effective countermeasures in the event of plan/presente variances.
Technical Engineering & Support
Testing Scope: Oversee a wide range of structural testing subdomains, including static and fatigue tests, damage tolerance, stiffness, bird impact, dynamic tests, and calibration for in-flight load measurement.
Design & Analysis Support: Provide expert technical support to the Structural Design and Structural Analysis departments throughout the entire product development and maintenance life-cycle.
