This position is open to candidates at different career stages, including early-career researchers. Specific previous experience with diamond, NV centres or quantum technologies is not required. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, curiosity, and the motivation to grow in an applied research environment at the forefront of quantum technologies.
The selected person will contribute to the development of new processes for the creation and optimisation of NV centres in diamond,
supporting quantum sensing projects and applications with real-world impact.

About the role
You will work on the research, development and optimisation of ion implantation protocols using FIB to create NV centres in diamond. The FIB system will be equipped with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) capabilities, enabling precise monitoring and localisation of implantation processes.
You will also take part in the installation and commissioning of new equipment for diamond handling and preparation within TECNALIA’s Quantum Research & Innovation Lab, across different sites.
