About the Role:

Supervises Surety Underwriting Support staff to ensure a balanced, profitable and quality book of business. Collaborates with management to develop and monitor operating and quality standards for unit. Responsible for coordinating and administering support functions within an assigned office(s). Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal policies. Supervises staff and collaborates with management on hiring, training/development and evaluation/adjustment of performance. Ensures Underwriting Assistant staff develops and maintains business relationships with Surety underwriting, internal service partners, and external clients.

About the Department & Team:

The Surety Underwriting Support organization is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and execution of underwriting support operations across the Surety business. The team drives operational excellence through standardization, workforce development,



quality management, process optimization, and technology enablement. As a key component of the Surety Office of Operations, the organization collaborates across underwriting, operations, compliance, and technology functions to enhance customer experience, improve productivity, mitigate risk, and support profitable growth globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, develop, and coach a team of Underwriting Assistants responsible for bond processing, integral bond registration, contract bond requests, and administrative support functions.
Manage workflow distribution, work prioritization, productivity, and performance to ensure timely and accurate completion of operational activities.
Monitor operational, quality, and performance standards while supporting internal and external customer service objectives and reporting requirements.
