The Veteran Affairs Transition Assistance Program (VA TAP) supports service
members and veterans as they transition from military to civilian life. Through
a structured curriculum and personalized support, VA TAP delivers education and
career guidance, benefits briefings, and resources to promote post-service
success.

The Regional Lead provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and




quality assurance for TAP service delivery across an assigned geographic region.
This position is responsible for managing regional staff, ensuring compliance
with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) policies and contract requirements,
monitoring program performance, and fostering relationships with military
installations, government stakeholders, and community partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and oversight for all TAP operations within the assigned
region
* Supervise, train, and evaluate Site Leads, Transition Counselors,
Facilitators, and other regional staff
* Ensure compliance with VA TAP policies, performance standards, and contract
requirements
* Monitor regional performance metrics and implement corrective actions as
needed to achieve program objectives
* Conduct site visits, audits, and quality assurance reviews to assess program
effectiveness and compliance
