As a Sales Manager - Travel Industry, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing strategic partnerships and managing key accounts across the travel trade segment, while representing the legendary service, luxury, and excellence that define The Ritz-Carlton.
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven professional with outstanding relationship-building and negotiation skills, capable of identifying new business opportunities, maximizing revenue, and creating long-term partnerships with travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), consortia, wholesalers, and other key industry partners.
Your Responsibilities Include…
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue from the Travel Industry segment.
Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts, strengthening relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, luxury travel advisors, consortia, wholesalers, and other strategic partners.
Identify and secure new business opportunities to maximize the resort's revenue and market share.
Negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and preferred partnerships while ensuring profitable and sustainable business relationships.
Represent the resort at international trade shows, workshops, roadshows, sales missions, and industry events.
Plan and conduct sales calls, client presentations, site inspections, and familiarization (FAM) trips to showcase the resort's unique experiences.
Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to ensure aligned commercial strategies and exceptional guest experiences.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and account performance to identify new opportunities and develop action plans.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and production analyses, ensuring continuous follow-up on assigned accounts and business objectives.
Ensure all sales activities are delivered in accordance with The Ritz-Carlton's standards of quality, luxury, and service excellence.
Provide personalized service to clients and business partners, building trust and fostering long-term relationships.
Ensure compliance with Marriott International policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the continued success of the resort.
What We Expect From You…
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Previous experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar commercial role within the luxury hospitality or travel industry.
Proven experience managing B2B accounts and developing business within the Travel Industry segment.
Strong understanding of the national and international travel trade, including travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers, and consortia.
Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and develop effective business strategies.
Willingness to travel regularly for sales trips, trade shows, and client meetings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with CRM systems and sales tools.
Professional proficiency in English and Spanish. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
Valid work permit for Spain.
