ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is committed to an ambitious plan to transform and modernize its technological landscape. The innovative data organization is a key part of this, focused on creating value from data, leveraging analytics capabilities to improve business performance, and creating new opportunities.

To achieve this, the Data Insight Team is looking for a Senior Business & Data Analyst with prior experience and expertise in customer loyalty program-related domains. In this role, you will act as the essential bridge between business stakeholders and the Data Engineering team. You will provide clear requirement analysis, solution definitions, and specifications for data-driven business use cases. You will ensure the functional integrity and rigorous testing of all data solutions—from basic reporting to complex advanced analytics—while consistently aligning your work with the broader data strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Solution Design

- Requirements Elicitation: Translate business needs into detailed data requirements, including data mapping, transformation logic, KPI, and dashboard definitions.
- Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects to design and document conceptual and logical data models that support business scalability.
- SQL Analysis: Use SQL to profile source data, validate business rules, and perform data quality assessments during the analysis phase.
- Documentation: Write Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications that explicitly outline data lineage and integration with the data warehouse.
- Exploratory Analysis: Perform impact and exploratory data analysis, and deliver curated data/insights to the business in the most adapted format (dashboards, self-service BI, datasets, etc.).
- Change Management: Partner with business teams to ensure delivered solutions are correctly understood and adopted.

Collaboration & Delivery

- Liaise with relevant IT teams (DWH developers, Data Engineers,



DataViz experts, and Data Scientists) to ensure end-to-end delivery of solutions, including data ingestion, advanced visualization, EDW extensions, and data models.

Governance & Maintenance

- Maintain effective governance over reporting assets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the business glossary by collaborating closely with the Data Governance team.
- Improve and maintain the stability of existing data products.

Incident & Problem Management

- Lead root cause analysis for data discrepancies or pipeline failures to maintain high-quality data outputs.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing data products.
- Define and execute test plans (UAT) to ensure that data in the warehouse accurately reflects the business logic defined in the specifications.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

- Strong business acumen and curiosity, backed by strong technical data skills to deliver clear and actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven expertise in data manipulation and modeling languages.
- SQL: Highly proficient, including complex joins.
- Proven experience in developing or using BI solution packages (e.g., Microstrategy, Looker, Tableau).
- Proven expertise in data visualization best practices and concepts.
- Understanding of big data stack technologies (GCP, Azure, etc.).
- Good understanding of data warehouse solution delivery principles (dimensional modeling, ETL, Enterprise Data Model, etc.).
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and modeling algorithms is a plus (able to sustain a discussion with a Data Scientist).
- Leadership skills with a collaborative, teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (French or Dutch, and English).

Preferred (Nice to Have):

- Previous experience in the retail industry.
- Prior experience with SAP retail MM and SD modules.
