Job Description Summary
Grid Automation offers its customers a complete range of innovative products, systems and services covering design and manufacture, as well as commissioning and long‑term maintenance of Substation Protection and Automation solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, protection relays, control systems, cyber security solutions, device management, asset performance and many more. Grid Automation Software lies within the boundaries of Grid technologies, embedded software and advanced analytics solutions. The Lead Application R&D; Engineer directly contributes to and drives the ideation, design, development, verification, documentation, component creation, and delivery of key applications and components supporting AAA business growth in the distributed automation, power generation and transmission fields. In this role he/she closely collaborates with and supports product management,



COEs and customers to help define solutions and roadmaps that lead to customer success. As a subject matter expert, he/she actively contributes to and supervises major innovation activities within AAA, GA and with the Grid Solutions Innovation Lab.

This position will report to the Protection and Control System Engineering Leader and is responsible for value creation within the Advance Automation Applications (AAA) scope, contributing to all key stages of the NPI process and, where required, directly to customer projects.
