Do you want to shape the architecture behind systems that tell Amazon's fulfillment network exactly how to plan, schedule, and ship millions of packages every day? We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the technical direction across multiple teams and production platforms within Fulfillment Optimization: systems that transform network-level forecasts and plans into actionable signals consumed by scheduling, capacity allocation, and transportation decision‑making systems worldwide.

In this role, you will define and drive technology strategy across multiple teams, each owning distinct production systems that must work together seamlessly to optimize fulfillment at Amazon scale. You will provide architectural leadership where teams have well‑understood customer problems but undefined or conflicting technical paths forward. You will identify integration patterns and shared infrastructure opportunities that no single team would see in isolation,



make high‑judgment calls on one‑way‑door decisions that affect multiple services and their consumers, and build consensus among engineers and leaders with different priorities. You will write exemplary production code in Python, design event‑driven architectures on AWS that achieve five‑nines availability, and set engineering standards for code organization, clarity, simplicity, and error handling that raise the bar across the organization.
