Experteer Overview In this role you drive the technical execution of HV AIS/GIS switchgear projects within GE Vernova Grid Solutions. You lead engineering from proposal through commissioning, coordinating with PM, sourcing, factories and customers to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. You’ll mentor junior engineers and ensure alignment with IEC standards and Grid Solutions procedures. This hybrid position offers impactful work on high-voltage systems and retrofit initiatives. - Act as technical lead for HV AIS/GIS switchgear projects and main engineering interface
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple stakeholders to align with scope, budget, and schedule
- Drive clarifications, risk assessments, and decisions ensuring compliance with customer specs and IEC standards
- Lead design reviews, meetings, and customer clarification sessions with clear recommendations
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Review customer specs, grid codes, and protection u0026 control concepts
- Develop and review technical designs, including SLDs, layouts, interlocks, and protection schematics
- Prepare engineering documents:
equipment lists, data sheets, calculation reports, test procedures
- Coordinate with factories and suppliers for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness
- Support FAT/SAT and commissioning, including root-cause analysis
- Plan, forecast, and track engineering hours and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget execution
- Provide input for tenders and proposals, including risk assessments and value engineering
- Ensure deliverables meet EHS, quality, and Grid Solutions proceduresResponsabilidades
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in power systems and HV/MV switchgear/substation engineering (utility/EPC/TSO environments)
- Strong HV AIS/GIS design understanding and protection u0026 control schemes
- Proven ability to read and review electrical drawings (SLD, schematics, wiring, interconnections)
- Experience with IEC 62271 series and local grid codes
- Proficient with AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar, and MS Office
- Experience in cross-functional, project-based coordination with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent written and verbal English, with travel flexibilityRequisitos principales
