Job Description

Based in Madrid but with full international exposure, you will work in a highly dynamic, inspiring, and challenging environment and become an integral part of our Energy Transition Advisory business.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team which is currently expanding and work closely with Alantra’s top management.

Your day-to-day tasks will include a wide range of activities including, among others:

- Producing research into relevant electricity markets, providing novel analysis, market modelling, price outlooks, and other relevant cost/revenue assumptions needed to assess opportunities to invest in renewable energy and energy transition internationally.
- Collecting and managing data on target markets, as well as researching and interpreting Government policy, market design and energy transition support mechanisms.
- Populating the databases and repositories for information on the target markets aimed at developing modelling capabilities within southern Europe team.
- Regular engagement with Corporate Finance team to tap synergies from joint efforts with target clients in the energy and industrial space.
- Communicating insights through a combination of discussions, reports, and presentations.
- You will need to possess exceptional financial modelling and writing skills, a solid experience market analysis and outstanding communication capacity skills.

Requirements





- 3-4 years of energy consulting or transaction services experience from tier 1 firms. The professional category will be determined based on candidates’ experience.
- Have a broad knowledge of the energy sector, experience in forecasting, energy consulting, market modelling or related experience is highly valued.
- Applicants must have strong interest in energy transition.
- Fully fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- Creativity, keen curiosity and look for intellectual challenges.
- Data-handling skills – the role involves managing large volumes of data for analysis; strong Excel skills are desirable, experience in specialist tools appreciated (VBA, Access, Python, Power Bi, etc.).
- Research techniques & skills – experience producing analysis/modelling for the power sector or comparable market is desirable.
- Strong academic background from top tier Universities or Engineering Schools.
- Commitment, rigorous detail-oriented, attitude and ability to show initiative at work, with the ability to contribute with your own ideas.
- Ability to manage several assignments at once and work equally effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
- Capable of working under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities.
- Impeccable communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in the use of Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
