At Hays , we are partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical company to support the development of an internal platform focused on automation, efficiency, and process improvement within a highly regulated and innovation‑driven environment.

We are looking for a Platform Manager Omnichannel (PMO) Services to contribute to building and evolving an in‑house platform designed to automate workflows, improve operational processes, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems used across international teams.

This role goes beyond traditional application development . You will work at the intersection of backend engineering, automation, and business process improvement , collaborating closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions.

What you will do

- Design, develop, and maintain an internal automation platform focused on operational efficiency and scalability
- Build server‑side rendered web applications using Node.js, Express.js, and EJS , following clear MVC principles
- Develop and maintain RESTful integrations with enterprise tools, in particular Jira APIs and webhooks
- Design efficient MongoDB schemas , optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and performance
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms , including session management, role‑based access, and CSRF protection
- Work closely with process owners, campaign managers, platform teams, and global stakeholders to identify automation opportunities
- Translate business and operational challenges into clean, maintainable, and scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to the evolution of the platform , promoting reuse, standardization,



and future AI adoption
- Ensure high code quality through good architecture, documentation, and engineering best practices

Required technical skills

Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+) , including:

- async/await
- modules
- array and object patterns

Node.js and Express.js MVC architecture

- routing and middleware
- controller / service separation

EJS templating server‑side rendering

- layouts, partials, reusable components

MongoDB and Mongoos e schema design

- populate and hooks
- indexing and query optimization

Authentication & Security express‑session

- connect‑mongo
- CSRF protection
- role‑based authorization
- Frontend fundamentals:
- Bootstrap
- CSS
- vanilla JavaScript for UI interactions

REST integrations Jira APIs and webhooks

- payload mapping
- error handling and resiliency

Nice to have

- Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or automation frameworks
- Exposure to AI‑assisted workflows , intelligent routing, or decision automation
- Background in process improvement , Lean, or Operational Excellence environments
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts
- Experience documenting platforms or creating reusable technical patterns
