Senior Unreal Engine Developer
We are looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to join our dynamic international team. The adecuado candidate will have a solid background in game development and a thorough understanding of Unreal Engine. You will be responsible for implementing features, maintaining stability, optimizing performance, and ensuring the technical quality of our latest game project.
Who are we: StickyLock is a passionate international studio creating innovative digital experiences, developing and publishing unique cutting‑edge titles. Our offices are in the Netherlands and Spain. Currently we are developing a realistic simulated golf game.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or equivalent relevant years of experience.
- Proven working experience (6+ years) as an Unreal Engine Developer.
- Solid knowledge of programming in C++ and Blueprints.
- Demonstrable experience of Unreal’s development process through published projects.
- Knowledge of multiplayer, backend, graphics (are a plus).
- Exceptional problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Remaining flexible/adaptive in continuously changing situations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project applications (e.g. Jira).
Desired requirements
- Experienced in networking, databases and/or graphics (mainly HLSL).
- Affinity with technology and/or golf.
- Experienced in working in an internationally operating organization.
Duties
- Develop and implement new gameplay features within the Unreal Engine to deliver exceptional user experience.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and co‑programmers to create optimal, scalable solutions for game design challenges.
- Debug, optimise, and ensure software stability and security in the game’s engine.
- Integrate assets from the art and design teams, ensuring they meet the necessary technical requirements.
- Write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.
- Provide input during the design process and contribute to the overall game concept and playability.
- Maintain and enhance the Unreal Engine as required for the game’s development.
