In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will push Affinity's product and platform forward by shaping the Internal and External API layers, integrations platform, and access management systems. You’ll join our IAM & Integrations team as one of the first members in the Barcelona office, contributing to the technical roadmap and delivering high-impact solutions. You’ll prototype end-to-end systems, iterate rapidly, and drive measurable customer value across APIs, integrations, and data privacy. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to raise performance, reliability, and scalability. Responsabilidades
• 5+ years in software engineering
• 2+ years as a senior member of a team delivering end-to-end systems
• Experience with web APIs and backend services using modern OOP practices
• Strong understanding of relational databases and diagnosing DB performance bottlenecks
• Ability to troubleshoot across network, application, caching, queuing, and storage layers
• Experience solving high-scale challenges and integrating systems or BI platforms
• Clear written and verbal communication; ownership mindset; attention to detail
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product stakeholders and other teams
• English proficiency
