We are looking for an Automation Engineer to drive the deployment of automation and Adaptive Technology solutions across existing logistics operations in Spain. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, working at the intersection of engineering, operations and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Assess existing warehouse operations to identify automation opportunities.

• Analyze processes, layouts and operational constraints in live environments.

• Design practical automation solutions adapted to real operational conditions.

• Collaborate with European Automation & Adaptive Technology teams and local engineering teams.

• Lead automation project execution on the warehouse floor from installation to go-live.

• Coordinate vendors and integrators during deployment and ramp-up.





• Support stabilization and full handover to Operations (BAU).

• Capture lessons learned and share best practices across GXO sites.

What You Bring

Education:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.

• Project Management experience is a plus.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience deploying large-scale automation in logistics or operational environments.

• Proven on-site execution experience in live operations.

Skills & Mindset:

• Hands-on, execution-driven profile with strong shop-floor presence.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to translate technical solutions into operational value.

• Structured, pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
