We’re partnering with an innovative, high-growth mobile gaming company to appoint a Head of Development .

This is a critical leadership role with full ownership of the technical direction across a growing portfolio of mobile games, spanning client architecture, backend systems, and internal tooling.

We’re looking for a hands‑on engineering leader who combines strong technical depth with the ability to build and scale high‑performing teams. You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, product, data, and growth, driving both technical excellence and rapid iteration.

Key responsibilities

- Define and own the end‑to‑end technical architecture across the gaming ecosystem
- Establish engineering standards, scalable systems, and efficient development practices
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing development team
- Contribute directly to development, tackling complex technical challenges when needed




- Partner closely with product and data teams to enable fast experimentation and iteration
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance development efficiency and output

Requirements

- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven track record leading engineering teams within mobile gaming or mobile products
- Strong expertise in scalable architecture, performance optimisation, and backend systems
- Experience operating in data‑driven, experimentation‑led environments
- Clear interest in applying AI within engineering workflows
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
