You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeJoin Medtronic’s Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health team as a Senior Medical Science Liaison, where you will oversee relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, and support a wide array of initiatives to support professional society engagement and strategy design and implementation. Provide clinical and scientific support for Medtronic Neuromodulation products, ensuring accurate and balanced information is shared.ResponsibilitiesImplements strategic goals established by functional leadershipManages large, moderately complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross‑functional teams, and adhering to timeline and budgetWorks independently to implement strategic goals and establish operational plansAssignments are often self‑initiated.
Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired resultsIdentifies and communicates novel evidence generation opportunities, including external research projects, collaborative research, real‑world evidence, etcNurtures deep, collegial relationships with key thought leaders and professional societiesBuilds relationships and demonstrates the clinical outcome and benefits of company products to thought leaders, medical groups, government agencies, key opinion leaders and health systems, consumer‑ready medical products by communicating product‑related information to investigators and institutionsSupports continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for graduate physicians, pharmacists,
and scientistsSupports strategic planning for society engagements for Neuromodulation, including podium presence and evidence disseminationEnsures external research program (ERP) priorities are implemented and oversees milestones through close collaboration health care professionalsDemonstrates extensive knowledge of all clinical and scientific data for our products and maintains a deep understanding of the science behind our productsMaintains, grows, and shares clinical and scientific knowledge of current trends in neuromodulationProvides perspective to field activities associated with growing existing products and bringing new products to marketConducts briefings as required with senior leaders within the operating unitCollaborates with others to reach understanding or agreement.Required Knowledge and ExperienceRequires mastery level knowledge of specialty area, or adjacent area, and working knowledge of several other areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experienceAdvanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred; Master’s degree or relevant clinical/scientific background may be acceptable with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to interpret and explain complex scientific data to a broad range of stakeholdersExperience in a healthcare setting,
