For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Primary objective:
Build and maintain a reliable technical animation pipeline for the project and ensure high-quality integration of character animation with gameplay systems in Unreal Engine 5.7.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain animation systems in Unreal Engine 5.7.
- Set up and support Animation Blueprints, State Machines, Blend Spaces, Montages, IK Rig, IK Retargeter, and Control Rig.
- Build and maintain locomotion and combat animation systems.
- Integrate character animation with gameplay systems in collaboration with programmers and game designers.
- Support character rigging, skinning, deformation, and retargeting workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical animation issues.
- Optimize animation systems for real-time performance.
- Improve animation workflows and tools for the Animation and Character Art teams.
- Help establish technical animation standards and best practices.
Area of responsibility:
The full technical side of character animation on the project — from animation setup and integration to pipeline stability, optimization, and technical problem-solving.

- Stable and scalable animation pipeline.
- High-quality integration of animation with gameplay and combat systems.

- Efficient workflow for Animators and Character Artists.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
Required experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience specifically as a Technical Animator in GameDev.
- Proven production experience with Unreal Engine 5 .
- Experience working on real-time character animation pipelines for games.
- Experience with locomotion and/or combat animation systems.
- Experience integrating animation with gameplay systems.
Professional skills:
- Strong understanding of character animation pipelines and technical animation workflows.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve technical animation issues.
- Strong understanding of rigging, skinning, deformation, retargeting, and real-time animation.
- Ability to work closely with Animators, Character Artists, Programmers, and Game Designers.
- Ability to take ownership of the technical animation area and deliver production-ready solutions.
